What you will do

  • Statutory Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments under the Children Act 1989 to ensure children and young people receive the necessary support.
  • Case Management: Manage a diverse caseload focused on children with disabilities to safeguard and promote their welfare.
  • Care Planning: Develop personalised care plans and short break arrangements tailored to each child’s needs.
  • Partnership Working: Collaborate with families, schools, and healthcare professionals to deliver cohesive and effective support.
  • Safeguarding Work: Engage in Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Looked After Children (LAC) work when required.
  • Court Responsibilities: Prepare detailed reports for court proceedings and attend hearings as necessary.
  • Multi-Agency Meetings: Participate in multi-agency meetings to ensure clear communication and shared goals.
  • Recording: Maintain accurate records in line with council policies and statutory requirements.
  • Outcomes & Inclusion: Foster independence and positive outcomes for children, encouraging inclusion and empowerment.
