What you will do:
- Undertake comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments within Adult Social Care
- Manage a complex and varied long-term caseload with competence and flair
- Conduct and evaluate Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) assessments and provide recommendations
- Perform intricate moving and handling assessments to ensure safety and compliance
- Assess for and recommend the use of specialist equipment to promote client independence
- Develop and implement person-centred intervention plans, tailored to individual needs
- Collaborate effectively with service users, carers, and multidisciplinary professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely records, reports, and case documentation
- Supervise and provide guidance to an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)
Requirements:
- Relevant degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Proven experience within Adult Social Care Occupational Therapy
- Proficiency in completing DFG assessments and conducting complex moving and handling assessments
- Experience in assessing and recommending specialist equipment
- Skilled in managing complex caseloads independently
- Experience in supervising staff and providing mentorship
- Strong clinical reasoning and assessment capabilities
- Valid driver's license with access to a vehicle for daily use
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience within a Local Authority
- Familiarity with the Long Term Team framework
- Prior experience with hybrid working arrangements
- Exposure to supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants
