What you will do:

  • Manage a protected caseload of children and families requiring early help and preventative support services, ensuring that each case receives the attention and care it deserves.
  • Undertake thorough assessments to identify the needs, risks, and strengths of families, while adhering to the Children Act 1989/2004 and local safeguarding procedures.
  • Develop, implement, and review outcome-focused plans in collaboration with families and professionals to ensure all parties are working towards common goals.
  • Deliver direct interventions aimed at building resilience, improving parenting capacity, and promoting positive outcomes for children and their families.
  • Collaborate effectively with multi-agency partners including schools, health services, police, and voluntary organisations, to provide comprehensive support to families.

Person Specification:

  • Qualifications: Must hold a Degree or Master’s in Social Work, or an equivalent recognised qualification, and be ready to commence or have successfully completed the ASYE programme.
  • Registration & Compliance: Registration with Social Work England is a must. A working knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and 2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and the Equality Act 2010 is essential.
