Purpose of the job:
To ensure that policies, systems, and resources are managed effectively to help the Directorate achieve its objectives and to foster continuous improvement within the framework of the overall Corporate and Directorate targets. As a MASH Education Officer, you will undertake Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub checks with schools and educational settings, including early years and colleges, to discern how a child presents and any associated safeguarding or behavioural concerns. This role involves using the Liquid Logic system to record detailed case notes.

What you will do:
- Conduct safeguarding assessments in partnership with educational institutions to determine the level of concern and use Dudley’s Threshold framework for recommendations.
- Provide valuable advice and assistance to schools regarding referral pathways for children requiring higher service levels.
- Communicate Domestic Abuse Response Team incidents to schools, offering pastoral support to Designated Safeguarding Leads.
- Collaborate with Operation Encompass and work closely with professionals to ensure that domestic abuse information is shared appropriately.
- Participate in multi-agency meetings, such as DART/MARAC conferences, to safeguard children in Dudley, adhering to regulations and best practices.

Duties:
- Engage with schools in a restorative manner to enhance children's health and well-being.
- Collect and share sensitive data with educational settings to gauge intervention levels needed for individual children's support.
- Perform daily administrative tasks related to Operation Encompass, including notifying schools and discussing pastoral care needs.
- Attend MARAC conferences to exchange critical information about high-risk domestic abuse involving school-aged children.
- Keep meticulous records of meetings and outcomes, ensuring comprehensive feedback and updates are provided to educational settings.
