What you will do:

  • Ensure statutory, policy, and procedural requirements are met in relation to Child Protection Conferences and reviews for children and young people in care.
  • Organise, chair, and follow up on a range of reviews, including Children in Care Reviews, Adoption Reviews, Secure Reviews, and Foster Care Reviews.
  • Ensure children’s wishes and feelings are appropriately considered and monitored throughout the review and planning process.
  • Monitor the Local Authority’s performance regarding children in care and provide appropriate challenge where concerns arise.
  • Contribute to the development of standards and the coordination of services in partnership with internal departments and external agencies.
  • Support the resolution of complaints and, where required, act as an independent investigating officer.
