What you will do
- Clinical Assessment: Conduct comprehensive medical assessments for individuals with substance misuse issues.
- Care Planning: Develop and review personalised treatment plans based on individual needs.
- Prescribing: Manage pharmacological treatments including opioid substitution and alcohol detoxification programmes.
- Clinical Leadership: Provide specialist advice and guidance within multidisciplinary teams.
- Health Monitoring: Monitor physical and mental health, making referrals where appropriate.
- Risk Management: Undertake risk assessments and contribute to safeguarding processes.
- Case Reviews: Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case reviews, and governance activities.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation.
- Harm Reduction: Promote harm reduction strategies and recovery-focused care.
- Partnership Working: Liaise effectively with external agencies including primary care and mental health services.
