What you will do

  • Caseload Management: Manage a complex caseload of children and families requiring statutory intervention.
  • Assessment & Planning: Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and review interventions in line with legislation.
  • Safeguarding Leadership: Lead child protection investigations and participate in strategy discussions.
  • Report Writing: Prepare detailed reports for Child Protection Conferences, Looked After Reviews, and court proceedings.
  • Direct Work: Engage directly with children and families to assess risk and implement effective support plans.
  • Meeting Facilitation: Chair professional meetings where required, contributing to key decisions.
  • Mentorship: Support and guide social workers and newly qualified practitioners.
  • Multi-Agency Working: Collaborate with health, education, police, and legal professionals to deliver coordinated care.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and timely case records in line with statutory requirements.
  • Best Practice: Promote strengths-based and child-centred approaches in all areas of work.
