The Role – Graduate Teacher (Trainee)

You will train full-time or part-time within a mainstream secondary school, following a structured, practice-led teacher training programme.

Key responsibilities include:

• Teaching your specialist subject across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities for Key Stage 5 experience where appropriate.
• Gradually increasing teaching responsibility within a supportive training environment.
• Observing and delivering lessons alongside experienced classroom practitioners.
• Participating in regular professional training focused on classroom practice, behaviour management, and effective lesson delivery.
• Receiving ongoing feedback and mentoring to support your progress towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) within one academic year.
