The Role

As a Graduate Geography Teaching Assistant, you'll play an integral role in supporting teaching and learning across the Geography department.

Your responsibilities may include:

Supporting students during Geography lessons
Delivering targeted one-to-one and small-group interventions
Helping pupils prepare for GCSE and A-Level examinations
Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom activities
Encouraging student engagement and academic progress
Supporting learners with varying abilities and additional needs
Working alongside teachers to raise attainment and confidence
Contributing to educational visits, enrichment activities and wider school life

This is a varied and rewarding position offering first-hand experience of life within a thriving secondary school.

Who We're Looking For

Essential

A 2:1 degree or above in Geography or a closely related subject
A passion for education and working with young people
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive and positive attitude
Right to work in the UK

Desirable

Previous experience working with young people
Tutoring, mentoring or coaching experience
An interest in pursuing a career in teaching
Knowledge of the current Geography curriculum
