Graduate Art Unqualified Teacher
Full-time | Long-term | Immediate or September start
Salary: £28,000+
Are you a talented Art graduate ready to take the leap from student to teacher?
Do you want your creativity to have real impact in a school that values innovation, discipline, and academic excellence?
Are you looking for a rare opportunity to step straight into a paid, full-time teaching role with training and support?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a high-achieving Art graduate to join a top-performing secondary school in North West London as an Unqualified Teacher of Art. This is a unique chance to move beyond a support role and take on real teaching responsibility, with structured guidance and the opportunity to progress into formal teacher training.
About the School
This is a highly successful, oversubscribed secondary school with a strong reputation for academic excellence and exceptional student behaviour. Consistently achieving outstanding GCSE results well above the national average, the school prides itself on a culture of discipline, ambition, and high expectations.
The school has been recognised for its innovative approach to education, blending traditional academic rigour with modern teaching practices. Staff benefit from a supportive leadership team, clear progression pathways, and a culture that invests heavily in professional development.
Art is a valued subject within the school, with a growing department that encourages creativity, experimentation, and high-quality outcomes.
The Role
As a Graduate Art Unqualified Teacher, you will:
- Take responsibility for delivering Art lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons that inspire students
- Assess student work and support progress towards strong outcomes
- Work closely with experienced teachers and department leaders
- Develop your teaching practice with a view to progressing into formal teacher training
This is an ideal role for a graduate who is ready to step up, take ownership, and develop quickly in a high-performing environment.
What We’re Looking For
- A 2:1 or First-Class degree in Art, Fine Art, or a related subject
- A strong portfolio or evidence of creative work
- A passion for education and inspiring young people
- Confidence, resilience, and strong communication skills
- A clear ambition to become a qualified teacher
Why This Role Stands Out
- Step directly into a teaching role — not just classroom support
- Work in a high-performing, disciplined, and ambitious school
- Structured pathway into teacher training and long-term career progression
- Competitive starting salary of £28,000+
- Be part of a school that values both academic and creative excellence
If you’re ready to turn your passion for Art into a rewarding teaching career and want to start in a school where expectations — and outcomes — are high, this is your opportunity.
Send your CV and cover letter to Ryan Holtby at KPI Education today and take the first step towards becoming an outstanding Art teacher.
