Location: Worcester
Pay Rate: £26.62 PAYE or £34.78 Umbrella per hour
Contract Type: Locum / Temporary
Contract Duration: 8th July 2026 – 7th August 2026
Hours: Full-time – 37 hours per week
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
Seven Resourcing is recruiting for an experienced Fostering and Kinship Social Worker to join a busy children’s services team on a temporary basis.
This role is suitable for a qualified social worker with strong experience in fostering services, kinship care, and supervising foster carers. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality support, supervision, and assessments within a regulated fostering service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision, support, and guidance to approved foster carers.
- Complete annual foster carer review reports in line with fostering regulations and National Minimum Standards.
- Undertake kinship care assessments and viability assessments.
- Carry out Special Guardianship Order (SGO) assessments.
- Complete court-directed assessments and prepare clear, evidence-based reports.
- Ensure compliance with fostering legislation, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with children, families, foster carers, and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records using electronic systems.
- Participate in meetings, reviews, and planning processes relating to fostering and kinship arrangements.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
- Significant experience in fostering and kinship care services.
- Experience completing foster carer supervision and reviews.
- Strong knowledge of fostering regulations and National Minimum Standards.
- Experience completing kinship assessments and SGO assessments.
- Experience producing court reports and working within court proceedings.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and report writing skills.
- Ability to manage a full caseload effectively within statutory timescales.
