Embark on an exciting three-month locum opportunity as a Social Worker within the dynamic Duty Team in St Helens UK. Earning £40 hourly, this role offers an ideal environment for those with experience managing CIN, CP, and PLO work, who thrive in fast-paced settings. The full-time position operates within the Duty Service, which responds to referrals from the MASH and initiates assessments and plans for children. Join one of our four supportive teams, each guided by a team manager and assistant team manager, with six social workers. You'll be on duty once every four weeks, with responsibilities including responding to referrals and completing assessments as necessary.

What you will do:
- Respond to referrals from the MASH on a rotational duty basis.
- Conduct assessments and initiate plans for children where required.
- Manage cases on a short-term basis, with a focus on CIN, CP, and PLO.
- Work collaboratively with your team to ensure consistent support and leadership.
- Utilise excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
- Ensure the child remains at the heart of your work, maintaining their safety and welfare as a priority.
- Analyse case information and risk efficiently to inform your decision-making process.
The Duty Team operates with a clear vision for exceptional practice, providing interim support while permanent positions are filled. Your role involves working two days from the office within a hybrid work model, apart from the 5-day on-site requirement when on duty.
