KPi Education is delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and well-respected secondary school in Chertsey to recruit an experienced Cover Teacher for a full-time position starting in September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident classroom practitioner who enjoys working across a variety of subjects and year groups while maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning. The school is seeking someone with strong classroom presence, excellent behaviour management and the flexibility to deliver pre-planned lessons across the curriculum.

The Role

• Deliver engaging pre-planned lessons across a range of secondary subjects.
• Maintain a positive, purposeful learning environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and ensure students remain on task.
• Support students' academic progress and wellbeing throughout the school day.
• Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff to ensure continuity of learning.

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant secondary classroom teaching experience.
• A confident and adaptable teacher with excellent classroom management skills.
• Previous experience teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Professional, reliable and committed to maintaining high expectations for all students.
• Able to build positive relationships with staff and pupils alike.

Please Note

This role is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who still need to complete their induction years. The school is specifically seeking an experienced classroom practitioner who can confidently lead classes from day one.
