Care & Support Manager

Location: Southeast London boroughs, Croydon and Sidcup | Salary: Up to £45,000 | 35 hours per week

Step into a senior leadership role where you will shape how supported housing services are delivered, influence strategic direction and see the real impact of your decisions on people’s lives every day.

Are you experienced in mental health and supported housing and ready for broader operational responsibility?

Do you want the authority to improve standards, guide managers and strengthen services across multiple schemes?

Quo Vadis Trust (QVT) supports over 250 people living with mental health needs across Southeast London. We provide safe homes and practical support that help individuals move towards greater independence. We are now looking for a Care & Support Manager to play a central role in strengthening and developing our Operations function.

If you are ready to take ownership of service quality and help shape the future of supported housing at QVT, we would welcome your application.

The role

Reporting to the COO, you will oversee our Operations team and help refine how our supported accommodation and care services are delivered.

This is a permanent, full-time role, working 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday. The position is site-based across Southeast London, Croydon and Sidcup, with limited remote working. For the first six months, you may be based at our CR2 scheme.

You will have the scope to review systems, strengthen compliance and support managers to deliver confident, consistent services. Your leadership will ensure schemes remain safe, well-managed and inspection-ready.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will strengthen safeguarding practice and ensure services consistently meet regulatory and legal standards. Through effective audits and oversight, you will reduce operational risk and build confidence across teams.
  • By guiding Housing Managers and Officers, you will create a more capable and resilient management structure. Your support will help them handle tenancy matters, documentation and day-to-day challenges with clarity and consistency.
  • You will improve how voids are managed and how new tenants are welcomed, creating smoother transitions and more stable services. By ensuring support plans and risk assessments clearly evidence progress, you will strengthen funding compliance and demonstrate real outcomes.
  • You will also encourage tenant engagement and clear move-on planning, helping individuals build independence while improving overall service performance.

At Quo Vadis Trust, we believe that stable housing and the right support can change lives.

We are a registered charity (1116196) working across Southeast London, Croydon and Sidcup. Our focus is on providing safe, supportive homes for people living with mental health needs, delivered through well-run and values-led services.

We are ambitious about quality and committed to continuous improvement.

The Benefits

  • Direct exposure to senior leadership and service development
  • Opportunity to influence operational improvement during a key growth phase
  • A role where your leadership has visible and lasting impact

The person

  • You will bring strong experience in mental health care and supported housing, alongside experience leading and developing teams.
  • You will have sound knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety and compliance, ideally within a regulated service. You will be confident completing support and risk assessments, carrying out audits and managing performance.
  • You will communicate clearly, remain calm under pressure and approach your work with empathy and professionalism. The ability to travel between sites and good IT skills, including MS Office, are essential.
  • Relevant care management or housing qualifications (CiH) are desirable.
