What you will do:
- Perform microtomy and the embedding of histology tissue to ensure accurate preparation for analysis.
- Conduct routine and specialist diagnostic testing with precision and care within the Cellular Pathology department.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to guarantee accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Assist in the supervision and training of junior staff members and new trainees as required.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in the laboratory setting.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to uphold standards of excellence.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have HCPC registration and a relevant qualification in biomedical science or an equivalent qualification. You will also need post-qualifying experience within biomedical science, specifically in Cellular Pathology, to thrive in this dynamic role.
