Bar Manager in Venice

Job title: Bar Manager – Luxury 5-Star Hotel
Location: Venice
Salary: €2300 gross per month

We are seeking an experienced Manager to lead the beverage operations at our luxury 5-star hotel. In this role, you will oversee a sophisticated bar environment, ensuring exceptional service, innovative drink offerings, and a refined guest experience that aligns with our hotel’s reputation for excellence. This is an opportunity to shape a world-class bar program while mentoring a talented team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and inspire the bar team to deliver outstanding service and craft exceptional cocktails.
• Develop and maintain a creative, high-quality beverage menu that reflects current trends and guest preferences.
• Oversee daily bar operations, including opening/closing procedures, inventory management, and staff scheduling.
• Ensure the bar is fully stocked with premium spirits, wines, and ingredients, while controlling costs and minimizing waste.
• Monitor and analyze beverage sales, margins, and guest feedback to optimize performance.
• Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service in the bar area.
• Collaborate with the F&B leadership to align the bar’s offerings with the hotel’s overall dining concepts.
• Maintain compliance with all alcohol service regulations, health, and safety standards.
• Foster a welcoming, elegant atmosphere that enhances the guest experience.
• Build relationships with suppliers to source premium products and negotiate favourable terms.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience as a Bar Manager, in a hotel, bar, or fine-dining establishment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a talent for developing staff.
• In-depth knowledge of premium spirits, wines, beers, and cocktail culture.
• Creative mixology skills and a passion for developing innovative drink programs.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with a refined and professional demeanour.
• Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, cost control, and P&L management.
• Proficiency in Micros POS system and inventory management software.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• Fluency in Italian and English; additional languages are a strong advantage.
