What you will do:

Manage a specialist caseload within paediatric Speech and Language Therapy, ensuring high-quality care for children with diverse speech, language, and communication needs.
Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose and craft effective treatment plans for children facing communication challenges and complex disorders.
Assess and handle cases involving paediatric dysphagia, providing evidence-based therapy and care.
Collaborate with families, schools, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure cohesive and supportive care plans.
Deliver specialist advice and training to parents, carers, and professionals, empowering them with the knowledge to support children's communication development.
Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) assessments and reviews to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
Maintain detailed clinical records and reports, supporting service development and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

Appropriate registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Speech and Language Therapist.
Holder of a relevant clinical degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or MSc leading to HCPC registration.
Masters-level equivalent knowledge of complex communication needs and paediatric dysphagia.
Registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
Demonstrated history of ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
Experience within Children’s Speech and Language Therapy services, handling complex communication needs and paediatric dysphagia caseloads.
Full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle.
Familiarity with SystmOne is advantageous.
Experience in community paediatric settings and contribution to EHCP processes.
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
