What you will do

  • Provide support to service users experiencing acute psychosis.
  • Complete thorough assessments and regular reviews of care needs.
  • Undertake comprehensive risk assessments and develop risk management plans.
  • Deliver prompt crisis intervention and ongoing support.
  • Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams for optimal service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain person-centred care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Support and implement recovery-focused interventions.
  • Liaise effectively with service users, carers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate clinical records and documentation.
  • Contribute positively towards clinical outcomes and service improvements.

Requirements

  • Qualified as an Occupational Therapist or Social Worker with current professional registration.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Experience in supporting people with acute psychosis.
  • Proficient in conducting assessments and managing risks.
  • Skilled in delivering crisis intervention and working within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication capabilities and person-centred care experience.
  • Knowledgeable in Recovery approaches and Early Intervention in Psychosis.
  • Familiar with relevant Mental Health legislation.

Desirable

  • Experience in Inpatient Mental Health or Community Mental Health settings.
  • Competence in coordinating complex care packages.
