What you will do:
- Provide essential Speech and Language Therapy input for pupils with dedicated therapy hours outlined in their Education, Health, and Care (EHC) plans.
- Conduct assessments, analyse results, and produce detailed EHCP reports with recommended hours, ensuring regular review of all pupils on your caseload.
- Collaborate closely with all communication partners involved in each pupil’s care, ensuring consistent and effective communication strategies.
- Travel to schools and homes, catering to pupils' needs, up to the age of 25, across North Essex.
Requirements:
- You must be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist with HCPC and RCSLT registration.
- Be confident and skilled in using both formal and informal assessments for children and young adults with diverse communication needs, including phonological disorders, AAC, and language difficulties.
- Have a solid understanding of safeguarding processes with the ability to implement them effectively.
- Possess a professional attitude at all times, whether interacting with colleagues or those accessing our services.
- A valid driving licence and access to a car are essential due to the community-based nature of the role.
