We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Therapeutic Radiographer specialising in AHP - Imaging, based in the vibrant city of Brighton, East Sussex. This full-time ongoing position offers a competitive rate of up to £26.78 per hour and the chance to work within a specialist radiotherapy service using state-of-the-art TomoTherapy treatment units.

Working Monday to Friday with alternating early and late shifts, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality radiotherapy treatments while supporting patients throughout their treatment journey. What you will do

• Deliver accurate and effective radiotherapy treatments using TomoTherapy treatment units.
• Support patients throughout their radiotherapy pathway, ensuring a positive and compassionate care experience.
• Ensure the safe and accurate delivery of prescribed radiotherapy treatments.
• Carry out treatment verification procedures in line with departmental protocols.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate treatment records and clinical documentation.
• Monitor patient wellbeing and escalate treatment-related concerns appropriately.
• Work closely with Consultants, Clinical Oncologists, Physicists, Dosimetrists, and wider multidisciplinary teams.
• Promote patient-centred care and provide information, reassurance, and support to patients and families.
• Participate in quality assurance, governance, and service improvement activities.
• Adhere to local policies, national radiotherapy standards, and professional guidelines at all times.

Requirements

• Professional Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Therapeutic Radiography.
• HCPC Registration: Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
• Band 6 Experience: Previous experience working as a Therapeutic Radiographer within a radiotherapy service.
• Radiotherapy Expertise: Experience delivering radiotherapy treatments safely and accurately.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of treatment verification procedures and radiotherapy technologies.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and patient-care abilities.
• Team Working: Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment.

Desirable

• TomoTherapy Experience: Previous experience using TomoTherapy treatment units.
• NHS Experience: Experience working within an NHS Radiotherapy Department.
• Quality Assurance Knowledge: Involvement in radiotherapy governance and quality assurance activities.
