What you will do:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for patients referred from A&E and medical/surgical wards.
- Assess and manage risks, including harm to self or others, suicide, and self-neglect.
- Provide evidence-based brief interventions, advice, and signposting to appropriate services.
- Support and educate acute hospital colleagues in managing mental health presentations.
- Maintain high-quality clinical documentation.
- Facilitate timely discharge planning with mental health input for complex cases.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to shared clinical decision-making.
