What you will do:

• Produce high-quality sections for H&E staining, ranging from simple single full face sections to complex biopsies requiring multiple levels and sections, such as serials.
• Skillfully operate a semi-automated rotary microtome to prepare sections from formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded blocks.
• Maintain a keen attention to detail and quality while achieving KPIs of 160 to 200 blocks per day, depending on block complexity.
• Demonstrate self-motivation and concentration in periods of intense focus, while leveraging your excellent communication skills to adapt quickly to departmental microtomy and sectioning procedures.
• Engage in thorough training provided by the in-house team to seamlessly integrate into the department’s specific workflow.

Requirements:

• You must have HCPC registration.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Histology is required.
• Being a car driver is preferable for ease of commuting between sites.
