You'll be responsible for a variety of tasks within the mortuary, ensuring the efficient and respectful handling of the deceased. What you will do

• Record the admission of bodies from hospital wards, A&E, and the community.
• Verify ID bands and identities of the deceased.
• Check for pacemakers and record property and valuables on the Pathology LIMS system.
• Coordinate the release of bodies to approved undertakers, ensuring all property and paperwork are in order.
• Operate the electro-hydraulic mortuary trolley hoist and cold storage system.
• Ensure accurate signing out of the deceased on the Pathology LIMS system.
• Obtain signatures on release forms, confirming receipt by undertakers.
• Collaborate in the release of organs and foetuses, completing necessary documents.
• Participate in the detailed checking and signing of foetal containers and relevant paperwork.
