Advanced Practitioner – Children’s Social Work
Location: North Hykeham, Lincolnshire (covering North Kesteven)
Pay Rate: PAYE £29.51 per hour | Umbrella £40.00 per hour
Contract Length: 26 weeks
Start Date: 1st June 2026
Working Pattern: Full-time (37 hours per week) | Hybrid working
Seven Resourcing are looking for an experienced Advanced Practitioner Social Worker to join a well-established Family Help Team based in North Hykeham, Lincolnshire. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and stable team environment, covering a large rural area and making a meaningful difference to children and families.
Role Overview
As an Advanced Practitioner, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality social work services to children and families. You will undertake complex assessments, develop effective care plans, and provide ongoing support across a range of statutory interventions including Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Children in Care (CIC).
You will also be involved in both public and private law proceedings, ensuring that all work is completed in line with legislative frameworks and best practice standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied and complex caseload involving CIN, CP, and Children in Care
- Undertake comprehensive assessments and develop outcome-focused care plans
- Participate in a duty rota (1 week in 4), handling incoming referrals
- Work within public and private law proceedings, preparing court reports where required
- Build strong, effective relationships with children, families, and partner agencies
- Ensure all case recordings and documentation are accurate and up to date
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment and support less experienced colleagues where needed
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
- Significant post-qualification experience within Children’s Social Care
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and statutory frameworks
- Experience working with CIN, CP, and Children in Care cases
- Proven ability to manage complex caseloads and court work
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across a rural area
Working Arrangements
- Hybrid working model
- Minimum of 2 days per week onsite
- Full office attendance required during duty week (1 in 4 weeks)
