Mechanical Engineer in Haywards Heath, West Sussex

My client, a leading, national service provider, is searching for a Mechanical Engineer, to tackle mechanical challenges, improve equipment performance, and dive into real time problem solving. In this role you will play a key part in keeping machines running smoothly, safely, and at peak efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems including conveyors, pumps, motors, and gearboxes
• Diagnose and resolve faults to keep equipment running efficiently
• Assist with mechanical installations, upgrades, and improvements
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow safety procedures

Requirements

• Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent
• Hands-on experience with industrial machinery, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance
• Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing maintenance role
