What you will do:
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of individuals affected by serious crime, such as victims or perpetrators involved in human trafficking and modern slavery.
- Develop, implement, and review tailored intervention plans in collaboration with law enforcement and probation services.
- Provide direct support to victims and families, addressing safeguarding and welfare needs in line with legal standards.
- Identify safeguarding concerns and make appropriate referrals to relevant agencies.
- Work closely with NCA officers and law enforcement, applying social work expertise to support criminal investigations and attend multi-agency meetings.
- Prepare and present social work reports for court hearings, offering insights and recommendations to aid in the legal process.
- Ensure compliance with professional and legal standards, maintaining a CPD plan to stay informed on social work best practices.
- Maintain detailed case records, ensuring data protection and timely updates for effective intervention.
- Mentor and guide less experienced social workers, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
