In this engaging role, you will be key in supporting the social work team within the MASH, ensuring every child at risk is effectively safeguarded.

What you will do:

- Supervise and support social work staff, ensuring adherence to statutory frameworks and best practice.
- Assist the Team Manager in overseeing casework, guiding junior staff, and handling complex cases.
- Provide ongoing training and mentorship to the team for continuous improvement.
- Assist in the assessment and decision-making for child protection referrals, ensuring accurate information gathering and timely actions.
- Conduct risk assessments and coordinate appropriate referrals to specialist services.
- Collaborate with partner agencies (police, health, education) within the MASH for coordinated safeguarding efforts.
- Lead multi-agency meetings and foster effective partnerships for better outcomes.
- Ensure cases are managed within statutory timescales, conducting audits and quality assurance reviews.
- Oversee the accurate completion of case records and reports, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Promote best safeguarding practices and facilitate ongoing professional development for staff.
