What you will do:
- Assess, plan, and implement care for children and adolescents experiencing mental health issues, ensuring tailored approaches that meet the individual needs of each young person.
- Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver a high standard of mental health services, ensuring the emotional well-being of service users.
- Provide therapeutic interventions and support to families and carers, enhancing their understanding and management of mental health conditions.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation, monitoring the progress and outcomes of interventions.
- Liaise with external agencies and professionals to form a comprehensive support network for young people and their families.
Requirements for the CAMHS Practitioner:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Mental Health Nursing
- Proven experience working as a Mental Health Nurse
- Current registration with the NMC
- Deep understanding and passion for working within the CAMHS sector
