What you will do:
- Lead and chair looked after children reviews, ensuring that each meeting is thorough and child-focused
- Monitor the care and progress of children within your caseload, advocating for their needs and rights
- Work collaboratively with social workers, carers, children and their families to promote their well-being
- Provide guidance, advice, and recommendations in line with current legislation and best practice
- Ensure that all plans and decisions are documented accurately and implemented on time
- Conduct audits and reviews to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and quality standards

Requirements of the Independent Reviewing Officer:
You will hold a degree or equivalent qualification in social work and a current Social Work England registration. Additionally, it is vital to have substantial experience in frontline roles within UK social services, particularly as a qualified social worker.
