About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join the Duty & Assessment Team in Central Lancashire. This locum opportunity offers both part-time and full-time options, providing flexibility to suit your lifestyle while enabling you to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families. Interviews are being conducted ASAP, and candidates with at least three years’ permanent local authority experience, who have not held a permanent or fixed-term role in the past 12 weeks, are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments to understand the needs of children, families, and carers.

• Develop and implement robust support plans in collaboration with families and multi-agency partners.

• Make timely and effective safeguarding decisions in child protection cases.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, reports, and documentation.

• Attend court proceedings and provide professional reports as required.

• Participate in regular supervision, team meetings, and service improvement initiatives.
