What you will do:

- Lead and manage a team of Supervising Social Workers, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Oversee the recruitment, assessment, support, and training of prospective and current foster carers.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on new legislation and guidance impacting family placement services.
- Supervise and review the performance of approved foster carers.
- Collaborate closely with the Fostering Team Manager and other team members to develop best practices for family placement.

Located in the Family Placement Unit and directly reporting to the Fostering Team Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping and driving forward fostering services within Bolton. Your experience in supervising social workers and in-depth understanding of family placement legislation will be essential in fostering a supportive and efficient department.
