Social Worker - Adults Mental Health Team - Blackpool, UK - £30.66 Hourly - Ongoing

We have an exciting opportunity for you to become an integral part of the Adults Mental Health team based in Blackpool. We are looking for two enthusiastic Social Workers to cover maternity leaves: one full-time position for 37 hours per week expected to last until 30/04/2026, and one part-time position for 30 hours per week until 31/07/2026. Your role will involve working with adults with serious mental illness in community settings, where you will complete assessments under the Care Act, Social Circumstances Reports, and Mental Capacity Assessments. The position is based at the Gateway Football Stadium, with the possibility of hybrid working arrangements to be discussed during the interview process.

What you will do:

- Provide professional social work support and interventions to empower individuals to maintain their independence and quality of life.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, ensuring a holistic approach to meeting social care needs.
- Commission services as appropriate in alignment with the Care Act (2014) and departmental policies.
- Participate actively in safeguarding procedures to ensure the well-being and safety of vulnerable adults.
- Collaborate with teams, carers, and external agencies to deliver person-centred outcomes.
- Fulfill departmental and statutory requirements, including maintaining precise records using the Department's IT facilities.
- Prepare and contribute to staff meetings and professional supervision sessions.
- Keep abreast of developments in social care practices and health care issues to provide informed guidance and interventions.
