Removals Hgv Class 2 Driver/team Leader in Greater Manchester, North West

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver/Team Leader to work for our established Removals client, offering packing, removals and storage services in Manchester.

As HGV Class 2 Driver/Team Leader, a typical day will involve handling customers goods and providing a superior level of service.  You will be responsible for directing team members, carrying out quality audits and ensuring compliance of procedures and regulations, as well as staff training and development.

We're keen to speak to self-motivated removals professionals with leadership skills as well as first class customer service. 

You will need to have a valid LGV licence (category C or C+E), Drivers CPC Certificate, be compliant with legal tachograph procedures and a willingness to attend various skills and training courses relevant to the role.

In return, the successful HGV Class 2 Driver/Team Leader be offered £35,360 per annum.  Our client offer s 5 weeks paid annual leave in addition to bank holidays and a range of benefits. Duties include:

• Ensuring the safe loading & unloading of vehicles or storage containers.
• Handling customers to a superior level of service delivery.
• Run high value Corporate moves, including office/commercial moves.
• Carry out VIP customer service visits to ensure superior level of service is implemented.
• Carry out quality audits, including warehouse activities.
• Ensuring timetables and service expectations are maintained.
• Directing and controlling team members.
• Ensuring Company instructions and standards of discipline, workmanship and safety (including accident reporting) are maintained at all times.
• Ensure compliance of vehicle defect checks.
• Provide Removals training & development to Operational staff members
• Coach staff on an ongoing basis.
• Help identify problem areas and be instrumental in the solution.
• Implementation of Health & Safety Regulations and conducting of Risk Assessments.
• Coach and train on the dismantling and rebuild of furniture.
