Purpose of the Role
As part of the Front Door / Integrated Access and Referral Team, you will be the first point of contact for safeguarding and support referrals for children and families. You will assess risk, gather and analyse information, and make professional decisions to ensure timely protection and support for children in need.
What You Will Do

Receive, respond to, and screen referrals regarding children in need or at risk of harm.

Conduct screening and triage assessments to determine the appropriate pathway for services.

Analyse information from multiple sources to make informed professional decisions.

Provide advice to partner agencies to ensure consistent application of safeguarding thresholds.

Identify and escalate safeguarding concerns when necessary.

Participate in child protection enquiries and strategy discussions collaboratively.

Coordinate effectively with Early Help services and other agencies to support families.

Maintain accurate and timely records of all cases.

Engage in supervision and team learning to continuously enhance practice.
Requirements

Recognised Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.

Experience in statutory children’s social care and child protection.

Strong skills in information management, risk assessment, and multi-agency collaboration.
