We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our Young Adults Learning Disability Team in Newcastle upon Tyne. What You Will Do

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for young adults with diverse learning and physical disabilities.

  • Design and implement tailored therapy plans focused on developing independence and practical life skills.

  • Collaborate closely with families, educational staff, and other professionals to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to care.

  • Support smooth transitions into adulthood by fostering communication, independence, and employability skills.

  • Participate in Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) reviews and monitor therapeutic progress.

  • Provide supervision and mentorship to colleagues, contributing to a culture of growth and shared learning.
