The Role – Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

• Full-time, long-term role starting this September
• Work 1:1 and with small groups of students with complex needs
• Support pupils with communication, social skills, and emotional regulation
• Assist with daily routines and provide tailored learning support
• Collaborate with SEN teachers, therapists, and specialist staff on individual support plans
• Gain hands-on experience with therapeutic approaches, interventions, and EHCP processes

Person Specification

• Minimum 2:1 degree in Psychology (or a closely related subject)
• Previous experience supporting young people with SEN (e.g. school, tutoring, youth work, or care) is desirable
• Patient, empathetic, and resilient with a calm, proactive approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A genuine interest in SEN, mental health, and child development
