Team Manager (Social Work) - Children & Families Team, Exeter

We are thrilled to announce a locum opportunity for a Team Manager in our Children & Families Team in Exeter, offering a competitive hourly rate of up to £47.50 for a duration of 3 months. This full-time role is the perfect chance for an experienced social worker to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young people in the Exeter and East Devon area. Our team is making strides in implementing a new restorative practice approach to foster, maintain, and repair relationships within our community. If you have significant experience as a Team Manager in safeguarding and court work, and can manage team development with strong interpersonal skills, we want to hear from you! You will be expected to be on site at County Hall, Exeter, at least three days per week.

What you will do:

  • Lead and manage the Children & Families Team to deliver high-quality social care services.
  • Implement and embed our restorative practice approach to support relationship-building efforts with children and families.
  • Provide mentorship and support to social workers, fostering professional growth within the team.
  • Take responsibility for safeguarding and court-related tasks ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for families.

Monitor and review the performance of the team, setting strategic goals, and driving positive changes.
