We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker to join the Emergency Duty Team (EDT) as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) in Gateshead. What you will do:

- Provide assessments and interventions for individuals in crisis, utilizing your AMHP expertise.
- Make critical decisions regarding mental health assessments and ensure the well-being of service users.
- Work closely with hospitals, emergency services, and other agencies to deliver seamless out-of-hours support.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all cases handled.
- Advocate for individuals’ rights and ensure they receive the necessary care and support.

Requirements:

- Hold a degree or an equivalent qualification in social work.
- Currently registered with Social Work England.
- Demonstrated significant frontline experience working within UK Social Services as a qualified Social Worker.
