What you will do:
- Develop and implement strategies for commissioning services that effectively meet the needs of adults requiring statutory services, prevention, and early help.
- Manage key relationships with local NHS partners, the voluntary sector, and user-led organisations to deliver a cohesive service.
- Oversee quality assurance and contract management to ensure that high standards are maintained across all commissioned services.
- Use data-driven insights for demand forecasting, market development, and sustainability.
- Handle the operational aspects of commissioning, including performance management and risk assessment.
- Provide oversight on budget management, actively seeking innovative solutions to achieve cost efficiencies.
- Support the development and implementation of preventative services that help individuals maintain independence.
- Ensure the safeguarding of individuals and the provision of individualized care in coordination with health and social care services.

Requirements:
- A degree in a relevant subject or extensive experience in evidenced-based commissioning.
- Significant experience in adults commissioning and in working alongside regulating bodies like the CQC.
- Expert knowledge of Adults commissioning legislation and a Level 7 qualification in leadership and management.
- Proficiency in managing high-stakes situations and delivering at a strategic level in politically diverse settings.
- Experience in driving partnership working across health, social care, and voluntary sectors.
- Strong budget management skills with a track record of innovatively achieving savings and improvements.
