Join our dynamic Adult Safeguarding Team in Swansea as a Senior Social Worker, specialising in adult safeguarding, with an attractive hourly Umbrella Rate of £41.58. This temporary position is initially offered on a 3-month contract and involves a full-time commitment of 37 hours per week. Spend Tuesdays and Wednesdays based at the Guildhall in Swansea, with the flexibility to work from home for the remainder of the week. What you will do:
- Conduct Adult at Risk Reports and undertake Section 126 enquiries following the All-Wales Safeguarding Procedures.
- Offer advice and guidance on safeguarding issues to colleagues, citizens, and partner agencies.
- Attend and actively engage in Multi-agency Safeguarding Meetings, including MAPPA and MARAC.
- Participate in suicide prevention initiatives and advocate for preventative measures to enhance the safety of Swansea’s citizens.
- Handle a complex safeguarding caseload, demonstrating strong leadership and communication skills.
- Foster a person-centred, collaborative approach to ensure the dignity, safety, and respect of vulnerable adults.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- A degree or equivalent in social work.
- Current registration with Social Care Wales.
- Significant frontline experience in Social Services within the UK as a qualified Social Worker.
- Excellent understanding of relevant legislation and best practice.
