A forward-thinking secondary school in Nuneaton is looking for a Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.

This full-time, term-time only Graduate Maths Teaching Assistantrole is the perfect stepping stone for aspiring Maths teachers or graduates interested in education. As a Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting students in Maths, building their confidence and helping them achieve their academic goals in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant – Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to pupils during Maths lessons
• Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions
• Work alongside teaching staff to develop effective support strategies
• Help identify learning gaps and support student progress
• Encourage a positive attitude towards Maths and build pupil confidence
• Contribute to a focused, inclusive, and high-achieving classroom

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a motivated and enthusiastic graduate who has:

• A minimum 2:1 degree in Mathematics or a related subject (Physics, Engineering, Economics)
• Strong subject knowledge and excellent numeracy skills
• Great communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, professional approach and genuine passion for education
• (Desirable) Previous experience working with young people – e.g. tutoring, mentoring, or youth work
• A clear ambition to pursue a career in teaching or education
