This is an excellent opportunity for a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist with specialist knowledge in Pathology services. You will be working both independently and as part of a team, receiving, analysing, and reporting on specimens for Pathological investigations.
What you will do:
- Work unsupervised, including on shifts or on-call systems, to ensure seamless lab operations.
- Perform a complex range of tests using scientific equipment on all samples received, including high-risk specimens.
- Interpret and report results in accordance with service protocols to clinicians and nursing staff.
- Ensure continual professional development as per Health Professions Council (HPC) requirements.
- Train and supervise less experienced staff as directed by your line manager.
