A welcoming, inclusive primary school in Leamington Spa is looking for a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.

This full-time, term-time only role is an ideal first step for aspiring primary teachers, offering valuable hands-on classroom experience across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. As a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with experienced staff to support children’s learning, personal growth, and well-being in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across subjects including English, Maths, and Phonics
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils achieve their potential
• Assist with classroom organisation, routines, and day-to-day activities
• Support pupils with additional needs, including EAL (English as an Additional Language)
• Promote positive behaviour, confidence, and social interaction among pupils
• Get involved in extracurricular activities such as clubs, trips, and school events

Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant – Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking enthusiastic and compassionate graduates who have:

• A minimum 2:1 degree in any subject (Education, Psychology, English, or related subjects advantageous)
• Previous experience working with children (schools, tutoring, mentoring, youth groups, summer camps, Scouts/Guides, etc.) – essential
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s development
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A clear ambition to progress into primary teaching in the future
