Overall Purpose of the Job:
You will be entrusted with providing quality social work services aimed at safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and their families. Collaborate closely with other agencies to deliver a coordinated response and appropriate services tailored to the assessed needs.
What you will do:
- Manage a Children & Families caseload from assessment to evaluation, ensuring resources are appropriated efficiently.
- Partner with key agencies such as health, education, and police to ensure a cohesive support system is provided.
- Utilize a spectrum of evidence-based social work skills to achieve objectives set with service users and management.
- Conduct direct work with children and families, respecting their wishes and developing plans to meet their needs.
- Prepare detailed assessments and statements for court, representing Merton’s interests when required.
- Maintain and promptly update accurate client records to facilitate smooth case management.
- Guide newly qualified social workers and share your wealth of knowledge and experience.
