What You Will Do:

• Deliver holistic patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of minor illnesses and injuries.

• Manage long-term conditions such as diabetes, asthma, and hypertension, providing consistent, patient-centred care.

• Administer medications safely, including controlled drugs, in line with policy and clinical governance.

• Run health clinics covering wound management, immunisations, and routine health checks.

• Ensure the safety of all by adhering to strict security and risk assessment protocols.

• Collaborate closely with GPs, mental health professionals, and custodial staff to deliver integrated care.

• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to health education and promotion campaigns.

• Mentor junior staff and support quality improvement through audits and feedback.

Essential Requirements:

• Valid NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN).

• Current prison clearance (security vetting).

• Experience in primary care, emergency care, or community nursing environments.
