Occupational Therapist - Clinical Specialist Neuro in Lancashire, £37,000 - £40,000 Annually

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist with a specialism in Clinical Specialist Neuro to join our team in the beautiful area of Lancashire. You will be working with a dedicated team at our specialist neurorehabilitation service. Located in Bury, Lancashire, our centre offers a supportive environment for individuals with acquired brain injuries, progressive neurological conditions, and associated physical health needs. This full-time, 37.5 hours per week, permanent position offers an exciting chance to work alongside experienced professionals and make a real difference in the lives of our residents.

What you will do:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will embrace a variety of responsibilities that are integral to patient care and recovery. You will:

  • Carry out comprehensive OT assessments to determine patient needs and plan tailored interventions for their rehabilitation journey.
  • Manage and coordinate individual OT treatment plans, facilitate group therapy sessions, and oversee unit programmes tailored to our patients' unique needs.
  • Prepare detailed OT reports and actively participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient progress and strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to facilitate holistic patient care and treatment goals.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to Therapy Assistants, ensuring cohesive teamwork and optimal patient support.


What you will bring to the role:
Your empathy and resilience will be invaluable in supporting patients through their recovery journey. You must be qualified and registered with the HCPC, boasting specialist skills and experience in handling brain injuries. Your expertise in managing a spectrum of challenges, from physical and sensory to cognitive and psychological, will be crucial, although we provide comprehensive training to further enhance your skills.
