Social Worker - Child Protection Team in Ellesmere Port, earning £37.22 hourly, full time for 3 months. What you will do:
- Assess the needs of children and young people requiring social work services, identifying risks and the need for protection.
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver multi-agency plans to meet assessed needs and review these plans regularly.
- Identify unmet needs and gaps in service provision to inform resource allocation and service development.
- Engage with other professionals, statutory, and voluntary agencies in delivering services agreed upon following the assessment of needs.
- Manage an allocated workload within a team setting, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and departmental policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the Integrated Children’s System (ICS) at all times.
- Prepare for and participate in professional supervision sessions and staff meetings, utilising all available training and developmental opportunities.
- Contribute to the evaluation and development of services and new ideas by sharing knowledge with other Social Services staff, professional groups, and interested bodies.
- Provide professional support to newly qualified and less experienced social work staff to help them develop their knowledge and skills.
