What you will do:
- Responsible for maintaining the quality and standards of care in line with CQC and other statutory bodies.
- Manage care services within budget, ensuring services meet specifications and outcomes are effectively measured.
- Lead the nursing team, guiding recruitment, supervision, and professional development to ensure outstanding nursing care.
- Promote the nursing team's role within the organisation and externally, enhancing our reputation for excellence in care.
- Deputise for the service manager when needed and participate in on-call support for the service.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Oversee line management across all nursing service delivery, ensuring adherence to the NMC code of conduct.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as the service manager, therapy team, and quality team, to sustain good working relationships.
- Encourage collaboration within the multidisciplinary team (MDT), promoting interdisciplinary communication.
- Cultivate relationships with external stakeholders including local safeguarding bodies and partner organisations.
- Work independently in a specialist clinical area, possessing a wealth of knowledge in neurological rehabilitation.
- Accept responsibility for high-quality nursing care practices, driven by research findings and best practice.
- Mentor and supervise the nursing team, contributing to the development of new services and facilities.
- Provide expert advice on complex care nursing, supporting Brainkind and its initiatives.
- Lead the development of knowledge and practice within the service, addressing clinical governance issues.
