Job Purpose:
As an Assistant Team Manager, your mission is to enhance services provided to children, young people, and their families through high-quality social work interventions and effective partnership collaboration. You will guide a team of passionate social workers and support staff, ensuring services are efficient, safe, and goal-oriented. Reporting to the Team Manager, you'll be instrumental in driving quality assurance and championing the voice of the child, youth, and their families.
What you will do:
- Lead and manage a team of skilled professionals to ensure high-quality, outcomes-focused services.
- Recruit, develop, and motivate staff capable of meeting the evolving demands of the service.
- Allocate resources and workloads effectively within budgetary constraints.
- Ensure all case work, assessments, care planning, and decisions are accurately recorded and signed off.
- Adhere to and reinforce the Quality Assurance Framework through regular audits and evidence-based improvements.
- Foster strong partnership working across local agencies to safeguard children and vulnerable adults.
- Supervise the team with frequent, reflective sessions to promote best practice and informed decision-making.
- Encourage diversity and inclusion, ensuring service delivery is sensitive and addresses issues of language, gender, and more.
