The Opportunity

Are you a recent graduate eager to begin your journey in education? A friendly and inclusive primary school in Leamington Spa is looking for a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.

This full-time, term-time only role is ideal for aspiring primary teachers, offering you first-hand classroom experience across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You’ll be working closely with experienced educators to support pupils’ learning, development, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

As a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant, your role will involve:

• Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and interactive lessons across subjects including English, Maths, and Phonics
• Providing tailored one-to-one and small group support to help pupils progress
• Supporting classroom organisation and the smooth delivery of daily activities
• Helping pupils with additional needs, including those with EAL (English as an Additional Language)
• Promoting positive behaviour, confidence, and social skills among students
• Participating in school trips, clubs, and extracurricular events

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for passionate and committed graduates who meet the following criteria:

• A minimum 2:1 degree in any subject (Education, Psychology, English, or similar fields are a bonus)
• Experience working with children (e.g., schools, tutoring, mentoring, youth clubs, summer camps, Scouts/Guides) – essential
• A strong desire to support young children’s development and education
• Excellent communication skills and a caring, enthusiastic approach
• A clear ambition to pursue a career in primary teaching
